Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Steven J. Sinert attended Erasmus Hall High School, Brooklyn College and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Sinert is a retired Podiatrist living in Las Vegas, Nevada. He became an artist after retirement from his practice. He has studied with Tom Lynch, Arne Westerman, Barbara Freedman, and Lorraine Danzo. He teaches watercolor painting at the Winchester Community Center and the Derfelt Senior Center in Las Vegas. He is a watercolor and acrylic artist specializing in colorful abstract paintings and collage. His paintings can best be described as abstractions of color and form which allow the individual viewer to experience a wide range of interpretation and to share the feelings and emotions of the intense colors and designs which express his individuality as an artist. He has been moved by the art of Jackson Pollock, an artist who made famous the drip and splash method of painting. Dr. Sinert is a Signature Member of the Nevada Watercolor Society and its current President. His work has appeared in many Nevada Watercolor Society Shows, Gold Coast Watercolor Society Shows in Florida, Las Vegas Hotel Exhibitions, Clark County Library Exhibits, corporate exhibitions and is part of many private collections across the country.
